> OMNI Announces New West Coast Operations Office

OMNI is pleased to announce the opening of its West Coast operations office in Concord, California. The office will serve the many new clients coming to Omni through extensive growth as well as long-time clients in California and surrounding States. OMNI’s President and CEO, Robert McLean said, "Having operations personnel in both West Coast and East Coast time zones will provide optimal customer service to plan sponsors and their employees accommodating their schedule." Omni plans to expand its California operations as its clientele in Western States continues to grow.

> OMNI Presents at the 2016 International ASBO Meeting

OMNI recently exhibited at ASBO International's Annual Meeting and Expo in Phoenix, Arizona.

In attendance were members of OMNI's management team: Rob McLean, President and CEO; Scott Klotzbach, Director of Remittance; Sarah Breiner, General Counsel; Mark Buckley, Director of Business Development; and Andrea Pursel, Business Development Associate.

On Sunday, September 24, 2016, OMNI presented "What to expect in the event of an IRS audit." Presenters were President and CEO, Rob McLean; Director of Remittance, Scott Klotzbach; General Counsel, Sarah Breiner; and Business Administrator for Highland CSD, Louise Lynch.

> Andrea Pursel joins OMNI as Business Development Associate

Andrea Pursel has joined OMNI as a Business Development Associate. Andrea studied Business Administration at Fredonia State University in New York with a concentration in Finance. Most recently, she interned at Shults Resale in Dunkirk, NY, working closely with their Financial Manager providing funding assistance and sales support.

The OMNI Group sponsored the “Friends of MASBO” award at the 50th Annual MASBO Institute held in Brewster, Massachusetts on May 17th-18th 2016.

Congratulations to Kristen Behnke of Pittsfield Public Schools and Sharon Harrison of Berkshire Hills Regional School District who were honored for their active involvement in the promotion of the MASBO organization.

> OMNI Gives Presentation on Audits at KASBO

The OMNI Group’s presentation on IRS audits was given at the Kentucky Association of School Business Officials Spring Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. President and CEO Robert McLean led the presentation along with Staff Attorney Sarah Breiner and Director of Business Development Mark Buckley.

> Winners of #savein16 Contest Announced

Since earlier this year, OMNI has been running a campaign on our social media platforms called #savein16. Participants shared their ideas to cut down on spending and save more during New Year’s resolution season, using the hashtag #savein16. The contest ran until March 31st and winners were randomly selected and notified shortly after.

> Sarah Breiner joins The OMNI Group as Staff Attorney

The OMNI Group has hired Sarah Breiner as Staff Attorney. As Robert McLean steps into his role as new President and Chief Executive Officer, Sarah will be taking on many of Rob’ previous responsibilities and will work on expanding the scope of OMNI's capabilities. Mr. McLean stated “We’re excited to have Sarah join our team. She brings a tremendous skillset to OMNI that will further enable us to serve our clients in the best possible fashion and expand our services and footprint in our industry.”

Ms. Breiner has been practicing law for over 7 years and comes to OMNI from a Rochester New York law firm where she handled commercial litigation matters. Sarah stated, “I am excited to start a new challenge at The OMNI Group, and look forward to working with the team to further its successes as a leading third party administrator in its field. I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself on top quality service.”

> Robert McLean to Lead The OMNI Group

The OMNI Group announced today that Robert McLean has been named as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. Previously, as Vice President, Rob also served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer and played a key role in developing 403(b) and 457(b) plan documents, as well as managing OMNI’s compliance department. He has also been an industry spokesperson, serving on various national committees and forums.

Mr. McLean replaces Nina Rovinski, who has retired as President and Chief Executive Officer. She joined OMNI in 1999 and in her prior roles during this time, including Chief Operating Officer; Nina headed the overall administration of business operations, technology and quality control procedures, significantly contributing to OMNI’s development and success.
